    I have never rented from Floris Flight Service, but I have taken instruction from Floris and can attest that he is a first-class teacher. Because he is a controller as well as a pilot, he has far more insight into FAA mysteries than the typical instructor. I'm an instrument rated private pilot who took my first lesson ~7 years ago, and I've learned from a dozen or more instructors. Floris is one of the very best I've seen. My only minor complaint is that because he's so good (and is busy as a controller!), he can be a bit hard to schedule. But he's worth it...
